I designed this runner, and have made quite a few of them in different colors. I love the look of intertwined ribbons. This was cut on the Accuquilt GO! die cutting system, and pieced with Aurifil thread. It was quilted in a leaf design like the yellow one, as extra practice for January's FMQ challenge.
The second and third table runners were also cut on the Accuquilt GO! using the 6 1/2" tumbler block. One measures about 43 inches long, and the other is 39 long. Both are about 18 inches wide. I love the rose petal fabric, and thought it was really pretty with the carnation print on black and the beautiful red batik. They were quilted with Aurifil 50wt in a heart and loop design, similar to January's FMQ challenge. Both of these are in my Etsy store. http://www.etsy.com/listing/91741910/romantic-tumbler-table-runner-red-rose
I've also been working on my Quilt in a Day Facebook blocks. Eleanor Burns' daughter-in-law Teresa found original Kansas City Star blocks and they were adapted to the QIAD method of piecing. If you create a block and post it online, you have a chance to win a gift certificate for the store. Here are my 5 so far.
The names are: Pineapple, Honey Bee, Corner Star, Scrap Bag and Storm at Sea. It's fun to complete the blocks and see the ones others have made.
I've been practicing my feathers for the FMQ February challenge, too. I also have to design a few things for a possible class in March. I'm loving the little things.
